Fun fact: Taniks is explicitly identified as being really hard to kill permanently. Cayde lost track of the number of times he's been taken down, and personally got him twice. Variks uses him as an example of how Eliksni have ways of getting around nominally fatal injuries (alongside Mithrax, so don't worry if you shot him on reflex that time).
It’s not a leak or a theory. It’s in the database. There are 4 encounters in the raid: crypt security bypassed, atraks-1 defeated, descent survived, and taniks, the abomination defeated. Hell, taniks’ armor fragment is an award for completing the raid.
